I recently did a small style shoot for the Solar Eclipse, which was actually my non-creative husband's idea. The girls had a great time and it was definitely a unique way to remember this once in a lifetime experience.

I sometimes miss photographing newborns. Just to give you some background, I started my business in 2003 by taking soccer pictures and newborn photographs. Although I can't do newborn sessions like I used to anymore, I do get asked occasionally to do one. Recently, one of my best friends came to me and asked if I could photograph her first grandchild. Of course, I said yes! Landon and Hayley are the proud parents of this bundle of cuteness named Averie Brooke, who was born on April 3rd, 2024.

Black and white photography is more than just a technique; it's a way to capture the essence of a moment. Unlike color photos, which may focus on a person's clothes or surroundings, black and white photos reveal their story and emotions. There's something about black and white photography that lets you feel the raw emotion and connect with the subject on a deeper level.

But color is so lovely.

Although I’m a little late doing so… I just had to share these prom photos! You may remember Claire from my Senior Rep Launch. Claire is one of my 2025 senior reps. During the launch party Lynn (Claire's mom) and I had talked about her prom… which at the time was right around the corner.

In the weeks leading up to prom night, Claire and her date Will had discussions about the type of photos they would like to have taken on prom night. Claire was inclined towards a more traditional setting with trees in the background, flowers, and some architecture. After reviewing a number of location options, they all decided that Claire and Will's entire photo session should be photographed at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. The campus is incredibly beautiful, and it turned out to be the perfect location.

Capturing every moment with your kid is a precious gift. It's heartwarming to see both parents here, taking the opportunity to create beautiful memories together.
